Health Insurance : Is Dental Insurance Included in My Health Insurance?
Hello, my name is Vic Schumacher. The company is HPE Financial Services. Someone just asked: is dental insurance included in healt insurance. Well, it can be. It is an optional benefit that insurance comapanies offer with their healt insurance plans. It does not always, is not always included. When it is included it doesn’t cost too much. The benefits ar rather limited, usually a thousand dollars for the calendar year, and they have a couple of cleanings you can do, and the premiums cost in the neighborhood of about $15.00 to $20.00 a month. However there are stand alone dental insurance plans out there, in the marketplace, that cost about $25.00 a month and have much better benefits.
So what you might want to consider is how often you go to the dentist, what are the services you want performed, and is it going to be economical to have a stand alone policy on top of your health insurance policy. Different insurance companies subcontract their work out to the different dentists and you can usualy just select whatever dentist within that network that you want to work with.
